Atefe Sadeghi, a mother of one child, on the day of the 40th ceremony of Hamidreza Rouhi in Tehran, was arrested. For two days, her family searched everywhere for her, but there was no news. Finally, they were contacted and told to go to the morgue to receive her body. Atefe was killed by the force of the Islamic Republic on her head.

Setaayesh Sharifinia was a teenager who was killed for protesting when she, like others, took to the streets against the Islamic Republic. She was detained and tortured by government agents and, ultimately, after her release, passed away in the hospital.

Majid Tousparvar, a young athlete and activist, was arrested and subsequently martyred under the brutal torture of Khamenei’s regime solely for setting fire to a government banner in Islamshahr. Majid, a champion identified by the intelligence of the clerical regime during the act of burning the government banner, remained in hiding for two months. However, on February 22, he was arrested and tragically lost his life on the same day.

Prisoners in Qezel Hesar Prison, Karaj intended to prevent the execution of a young inmate, but prison guards of Islamic regim in Iran stormed them. A significant number of prisoners were injured by rubber bullets. Siamak Baba was also killed due to a bullet hitting his head and neck.

Soha Etebari, aged 12, was shot and killed by the armed forces of the Islamic regime in Iran inside her family’s car on the night of Sunday, December 25, 2022. This tragic incident occurred on the 40th day memorial of another young victim, Kian Pirfalak, aged 9, who was also killed in a similar incident in Izeh, Khuzestan, on November 16, 2022.

Melika Mahdavi, a young Iranian protestor, died under suspicious circumstances, falling from a building after her defiant act in Qeshm, where she burned her scarf in protest.

“Mehsa (Zhina) Amini (October 9, 2000 – September 16, 2022) was a 21-year-old Iranian citizen who, on September 16, 2022, after being detained by the Guidance Patrol in Tehran, suffered a skull fracture and brain death as a result of the blows inflicted by the agents of the Guidance Patrol and the Moral Security Police of the Islamic Republic in Iran. Three days later, on September 19, 2022, Mehsa Amini passed away at Kasra Tehran Hospital due to the severity of the injuries caused by the blows.
Her death triggered widespread reactions and protests in various parts of Iran and the world. The news of her killing in Iranian cities and on social media led to the Persian hashtag #مهسا_امینی (#Mehsa_Amini) trending globally, surpassing 300 million tweets and retweets, breaking Twitter’s world record. Her murder has become a catalyst for extensive uprisings against the Islamic Republic in Iran.
She, along with the Women’s Movement, Life, Freedom, has been awarded the Sakharov Prize for Human Rights by the European Union.”

Mohsen Shekari, a 23-year-old waiter, was the first protester executed by Iran during the 2022 protests, accused of injuring a Basij militia member and blocking a street in Tehran.

Mohammad Mehdi (Kumar) Karami (born October 2001 – Execution on January 7, 2023) was an Iranian karate practitioner and one of the participants in the 40th-day ceremony for Hadis Najafi and Parsa Rezadoust, figures of the 1401 Iran protests. According to the judicial authorities of the Islamic Republic, he, along with 15 others, was implicated in the death of a Basij member during the clashes on that day. He was recognized as the primary defendant in the case. On January 7, the Islamic Republic Execution him along with another accused in the same case, Seyyed Mohammad Hosseini. His execution led to widespread anger and disgust both in Iran and globally.

Majid Reza Rahnavard (born June 16, 1999 – Execution on December 12, 2022) was a wrestler and one of the detainees of the 1401 Iran protests. On December 12, 2022, just 23 days after his arrest, he was Execution by the verdict of the Mashhad Revolutionary Court. During the trial, conducted without proper legal procedures and while being deprived of the right to defend himself in court and use a lawyer, he was accused of killing two Basij members and injuring four others during the 1401 Iran protests in Mashhad.
