About

Majid Reza Rahnavard, a wrestler, was involved in the 1401 Iran protests. He was arrested and subsequently executed on charges of “enmity against God” (moharebeh) by the Mashhad Revolutionary Court. His trial consisted of just one session and was criticized for not adhering to fair legal procedures. He was accused of fatally stabbing two Basij agents in Mashhad on November 17. Amnesty International and other human rights organizations condemned the execution, citing it as a case of forced confession under torture and an unfair trial. Rahnavard’s case became a focal point in highlighting the severe crackdown on protestors in Iran.
