AusIran has verified some key details about this martyr, but the information is not complete.
Sina Naderi, a 22-year-old Kurdish Yarsani, was tragically killed in Darreh Deriz, Kermanshah, on Wednesday, October 12, 2022, amidst the widespread protests across Iran. His death came as a direct result of multiple gunshots fired by the security forces of the Islamic Republic.
Previously detained during protests in Nowbahar, Kermanshah, by Sepah Nabi Akram forces and transferred to Dizel Abad Prison, Naderi was temporarily released on a bail of 100 million toman. When he was fatally shot, the security forces initially demanded the same amount for the release of his body. Facing firm resistance from Naderi’s family, who threatened to protest further if denied his body, the authorities proposed to classify him as a “government martyr” to offer compensation, a notion his family staunchly rejected, affirming his sacrifice was for freedom.
Despite the regime’s efforts to coerce silence and manipulate narratives, Naderi’s funeral was conducted under strict security stipulations to prevent public attention. The community’s response, however, was powerful and vocal. On the 40th day following his death, a significant number of citizens took to the streets in Darreh Deriz, Kermanshah, to protest against the government, chanting slogans that underscored their demand for justice and freedom, honoring Naderi’s memory and the Kurdish and Yarsani solidarity.
