Omid Mahdavi was a young, married father who tragically lost his life in the second week of nationwide protests in Iran. Residing in the Narmak, Tehran, Omid became a victim of brutal police violence, succumbing to severe head injuries inflicted by baton strikes. After enduring ten days in a coma at Shahid Tajrish Hospital, he passed away on October 6, 2022. His demise marks a poignant chapter in the ongoing struggle for freedom and justice in Iran. Omid’s burial took place in Behesht Zahra Cemetery, Tehran, leaving behind a legacy of courage and a grieving family.
